It has taken a long time for spring to come. The last few days have finally been warm, and I think that having the sun out two days in a row has given me the extra energy to post a few pictures. A few of the projects I've been working on are:
An apron.

Rainbow jell-o for St. Patrick's Day.

Something springy to hang on my door.

Easter goodies.

Visiting Teaching treat.

And table decorations for a Relief Society dinner.

I love that apron. Lots of inspiration, here.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I wanted to answer your question about bleaching drop cloths. I washed them with bleach and soap first. Then, I filled the washer and let them soak for about 4 hours in the water and bleach. Once they had soaked, I ran the wash cycle as usual, followed by one more wash with just soap to rinse out the bleach. I dried them on hig to shrink them before I used them for the slipcover.
These will not bleach to a bright white, but a sort of cream/natural color. It looks much better than the shade they are out of the package. Good luck!
Hi there! Looks like a fun spring at your house!
ReplyDeleteI got your question about grammar on my blog. Thank you so much for visiting and asking a question!
Yes, you say "This is she" when you answer the phone. This is because you need the subjective (or nominative) pronoun to follow a linking verb (is, am, are, was, were, be). A linking verb simply joins the two parts of the sentence--really, the two parts are almost interchangeable, so you need a subjective rather than an objective pronoun.
Hope this is helpful!
